Over exposure is only one step of Post-processing to adjust the brightness. No biggy, Im sure they are all unaltered. Pretty hard to get lighting just right on a bright sunny day. EXTREMELY hard.

Yeah, definitely unedited. These pics would clean up nice if edited (not that it's really necessary, I mean - they're BBQ pics). It's an easy fix, and X2 on his quick improvement.

If shadows are a big issue, you COULD create an HDR to fix the exposure issue. By HDR I don't mean cartoon, I mean HDR that's so good you can't tell it's an HDR. Subtle dynamic range blending to create an image that resembles what one would see with their own eyes. This just looks like the exposure was set a notch too high due to the LCD brightness or something when adjusting the settings. No biggie.
