I got more "real" replies when I posted my house for rent on rent.com than craigslist. Speaking from the perspective of the person renting out the house, I would also choose to use rent.com if looking for a place (unless the area I was looking in was cheap and I thought the owners couldn't afford the $50 listing fee).

Be forewarned that owners are inquiring as to dog breeds/size and you can't lie, they will come and visit after giving you notice and the neighbors will rat you out. Hopefully, you find someone dog-friendly. I had to get a new homeowner's policy when I rented my house and I had to verify the # and breed of dogs of the renters.

i would tip you off that where I live now will be available at the end of this month, but its kinda pricey, no backyard and the landlord is a *****. it is a nice place though.
