If my car is going to be almost a half second slower than when Fontana was open, I'd rather not race there at all. If the weather is not going to lead to 130* IATs and heat exhaustion, then I might be interested. :D

Why would your car be half a second slower? Pomona is lower altitude and has better DA than Fontana, when it was open for Street legals people that I talked to were posting times consistent with Irwindale. If I still have the auto in my car then maybe I will have to check it out.

Last year in late August, DA's at Pomona would get as bad as 4000 ft at 1PM.... It really depends on the weather.

Same as Fontana, they get DA's around the same if not worse, plus track prep is not as good.

My best time at Fontana was a 2750 DA and it was 2 tenths slower than Irwindale a few days later... Apples to apples, no track is going to produce good times when its 95+ outside.
