Its a small shop in Covina called Koncept Motorwurks. They would mostly build Porsche's but now that my friend partnered up with them I took him my car for the collision repairs. With him there now, theyre starting to see some American muscle if you can tell in the background.

Went to town on the car today and pulled the motor to drop it off with the engine builder.

Was finally able to see the damage to cylinder 7. Of course as always, a busted ringland. Head was ok and the cylinder had light scuffing that a hone should clear up.

The piece that broke off melted like solder and got stuck on the head but it flaked right off. Gonna vacuum test the heads too.

Quick mod list of whats going into the motor:
Stock LS3 block, torque honed and decked, all new bearings
Wiseco forged pistons, ceramic coated
Scat forged I beams with ARP 2000 bolts
Double row adjustable timing chaindum
Melling high volume/pressure oil pump
ARP block studs
Stock LS3 heads with ported exhaust
PRC .675 double valve springs
231/236 114lsa TSP cam

Should be a solid motor for a long time

Some more goodies came in today. Just waiting on my C6Z calipers now. 14in rotors up front. That should slow me down.
Felt sorry the mailman who had to lug the 4 rotors to my door. Hes a lil dude too. No wonder he was walking tilted over. Lol

Nice build, I wouldn't mind doing a widebody C5 as my next project.

Bought a smaller used pulley too. Might spin the vortech to about 12psi vs the 8.5 now. Will probably wait for the motor to be broken in.

Was reading about the Hennessey C7 that hit 200mph on a toll road. It has 700hp, well 600 with a 100hp shot of nitrous. The package cost like $20k Lol. So for that price you get the performance im building at around $5k, or that anyone can put together really. Crazy how much money a name can cost. And I dont even think they touch the internals with that package and im forging the motor. On top of that hes asking $230k for 1000hp ctsv. Really?

Finally picking up the engine tomorrow morning. Gonna try to have it running by the end of the day. Should be fun. I'll try to get some good pics and startup vid.

Early gift for me. Picked up the motor and heads. We'll hit it hard on Thursday to try to have it running before the weekend. Hope you all enjoy tonight and tomorrow with family and friends. Be safe.

Just a little rant....if youre a guy with freakin *****, dont take up space at the damn auto parts store parts line asking for oil filters, oil and bullshit on the shelf parts! Leave the parts line for those who need actual parts an stuff that not on the shelf. And if you dont know what oil and oil filter air filter or spark plugs your car uses or youre asking for the parts guy to install wipers turn in your ******* man card.

Done.

Agreed,

I also think the people working at autozone should go get some automotive knowledge..

Trying to purchase stuff from them is hard as hell when they don't know **** from ****..

And I don't mean to be rude but when I see a woman at the counter I don't even bother with them, I wait for someone else.
