Help me find a machine shop near LA
I was curious if anyone can point me in the direction of a competent machine shop that would be willing to clean, hone, spec a stock LS1 block/piston/rod/crank assembly and re-assemble the block with new bearings/rings and the only aftermarket part would be ARP rod bolts.
It's a very straightforward setup, nothing fancy, nothing crazy, I just want to make sure all the tolerances and specs are as perfect as can be, as I will be using this motor for road course duty and I don't want to have any errors or sloppy work done to it.

It's hard to find a good shop out here just like anywhere else.
I have used JMS racing engines in El Monte to check out a an LS2 as I know someone there and they were able to do it in a timely manner.
I use another shop as well but it hard to get things done in a timely manner and sometimes he can be more expensive.
I will say stay away from Superior Automotive!!!

There is a guy in Oceanside. He is a vendor on here as well I believe. Steve, good dude. Always answers my emails promptly, well as promptly as is feasible while building motors.
