Default MAF needed for troubleshooting

Hello All,

I have been throwing a check engine light for the MAF recently. Before I purchase a new one I would like to find a MAF in good working order that I could use for testing on my '99 Z28. Please let me know if you have one available. Thank you.

P.S. Where are people getting new MAFs? All that I can find are refurbished units or a strange looking plastic AC Delco MAF...

Still looking? How long would you need it for? You can borrow one from one of my f-bodies.

I am. I would only need it long enough to clear the current code and put the car through a couple of drive cycles to see if a code returns.

I have been putting this off for way too long and now I received a ticket for expired tags. I need a MAF to get my car smogged and I will return it immediately after. Let me know if you can help a guy out. Thank you very much.

You can borrow mine. It's off my 2000 SS that's been sitting for several years.
I live in Lake Forest so you can come by and get it but I better get it back.
Hit me up for contact info.

Big thanks to Dan for letting me borrow his MAF. Now that the MAF code is gone, I have o2 sensor codes that need attention...

Thank you. I had to replace all the o2 sensors and now I hope it will pass, we'll see.

Jason,
Let me know if it doesn't pass I have some connections that could get it through. Also make sure you change oil. Fresh oil goes alooong way with helping it pass.

I will. After I put the MAF on I realized that my o2s were bad. I replaced them and now I just need the AIR and EVAP to register as not incomplete and I think it should pass. If not, I will call you up for sure.

Passed, so that covers the next two years. Need to replace the MAF in the meantime.
