No cats ticket in AZ Does anyone know what the fine is for running no cats long tube headers and completely straight pipe is in Arizona I bought car like this and got pulled over

Lawyer up dude.. Unless its a basic noise charge.
You can call the court clerk and ask what the charge is..
Each state is different on what they do with EPA violations..

No ticket or no charges? The only thing the judge wants to hear at the arraignment hearing is guilty or not guilty.

Not to panic but taking cats off is a federal violation, the fines can range in the many thousands..
You can however throw the guy you bought the car from under the bus.
In most states its actually illegal to sell a car for street use without the smog system in place. (Poorly enforced generally... )
You probably got a cop who has a limit on tolerable noise and he's making you pay for being loud..
Call the court clerk they are usually quite helpful and often will offer up a alternative. I've even had them toss the ticket, had one
just tell me ,, fix it and then send in a copy of the receipt and well kill it.

If you can register outside of the testing zones you'll get a pass on the cats.
Honestly, I really wish they would enforce noice ord here more. My back yard is off a major street here in AZ that has gotten very busy and I cant have a conversation back there any more. Most of the day, and many nights.

The entered road is sweepers through a residential neighborhood.. Mostly crotch rockets with Yosh pipes or open pipes and no manners..
They are less than 50' from our house.. at about 125 db, and 80+ in a 45..
Its gone beyond a nuisance..
