Smog inspection
Need more information. Does your car have stock manifold or headers? If headers what type long or short? Do you know if the rear 02 sensors were physically removed.
The typical OBD2 emissions scan involves scan looking at OBD2 Readiness Monitors and there are several of them.
- Catalyst (CAT)
- Heated Catalyst
- Evaporative (EVAP) System
- Secondary Air System
- Oxygen (O2) Sensor
- Oxygen Sensor Heater
- EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) and/or VVT System
- Misfire
- Fuel System

with. It’s possible that the rear o2 were removed when last owner deleted that mufflers, but o2 sensors appear when i checked my ses light. I recently bought a whole stock exhaust system with cats and o2 sensors already in it.
Car will probably have to be returned to stock cam, stock tune, stock manifolds with working rear O2's to pass. With the stock tune the typical aftermarket cam doesn't run well and have too many misfires and fail.
Maybe a performance shop in Cali can help with suggestions.
I have a Tesla,, because its a awesome traffic attack vehicle for the commute.. And I haven't filled a car in 2 years..
My 2 projects are both on the home straight , both burn more than my fair share of fuel.
Life is good..

How much does a Tesla battery cost?
tesla-battery-replacement-cost says...Tesla battery replacement cost varies depending on the labor and parts needed. Typically, the most basic battery replacement in tesla costs between $13,000 and $14,000. For the Model S premium sedan, replacing a Tesla battery costs around $13,000-$20,000. Model 3 entry-level sedan and Model X premium SUV battery replacement can cost at least $13,000 and $14,000 respectively. Also, you may have to pay around $20-200 for replacement parts like wiring and connectors. The labor charge may cost you nearly $175 per hour. Always be ready to shell out a few more dollars in additional labor charges if the repairs are complex or have any problems with the replacement.

A lot of 2013-2014 Tesla's are priced $36,000 to $45,000 so a $14,000 to $20,000 dollar battery replacement would really really really $uck.
~73,000 miles seems to show upshoot in the adds I've seen. Is 8 years or 80,000 miles about the life cycle of a Tesla battery 🔋?
I haven't seen any 150,000 mile Tesla's never mind 250,000+ mile Tesla's listed for sale. You do see that with 250,000 mile Toyota, GM, etc vehicles for sale.
The battery has a 100K warranty. Mine is two years old I've lost about 2% of the range, not counting putting a bit more aggressive tire which cost me about 7 miles range out of call it 200 average. I have a 2wd Standard range + which is a 250 mile battery, but that's with no A/C-Heat and conservative speeds. Its best speed is about 65, 75 and up and it starts to eat up a bit more charge..
Like any other car the independent support levels are growing. I've seen about a half dozen 200K + mile Teslas on the forums, many are over 100 and doing fine.
I find the electrics make a great commuter. Better than ICE in some ways. I am in no hurry to get rid of my V8-LS Jeep wrangler or My 911.. They both provide capability/experience the Tesla doesn't. I also have a Chevy Spark that my daughters drive around. 80 miles range and they can afford to charge it, they both prefer the electric to gas, mainly because it can charge at home and even the spark gets them all over town fine and they have figured out the whole charge when ya can logic. Also you can park the Spark anywhere..
