go and run, and have fun...Don't take it too seriously or you'll end up extremely disappointed, just like Chris with his 14 second times that I told him he'd run...

Take out the spare tire and jack, try to have less than half a tank, bring the helmet...Don't touch the tires, they're shitty tires that won't hook no matter what you do...Since it's your first time, watch the other guys so you don't go past the beams and get laughed at...

When it comes to the light, go as soon as the 2nd light comes on...Most people say the 3rd, but i've seen so many people be slow about it and get a .330 or worse...So 2nd light will be perfect until you get it right...The tree has nothing to do with your time anyway, so you can sit there for a second if you want to get your launch perfect...Once you're driving, just pretend nobody is watching you...Odds are, most people won't be anyway...Go past the time screen before you start to slow down, and try to leave it in 3rd...Most likely you'll be right at redline when crossing the beam, i'll be a little into 4th since i'm trapping higher...If you need 4th, dump it in quick...

Don't be sad when you see 14's and high 13's your first time...You have the ugliest wheels ever, so that is the reason you will be slow...You'll still be much faster than Chris, and it will show up top, not in 1st or 2nd gear...

dont worry, i wont be dissapointed, i seriously plan on 17second runs. are you sure about the second yellow light? ill go with the 3rd just to be safe.

also, im definately going around the burnout box, i cant do burnouts

positive on the 2nd light, guarantee you get a .400 or worse Reaction time if you go by the 3rd...The worst that can happen is you redlight, but that's no big deal....I do it all the time, i usually go as soon as the first light comes on because i'm ready to launch by then...If i'm in bracket I average .100 or lower by using the fully lit 2nd light, just before the 3rd come on...

Burnouts??? NO. not for you, just do a little clean off spin after you go around the water...That is if you can get around the water...You do know how to spin the tires, right? Surprised you can't do a burnout too...Bring revs up, drop clutch, and the tires spin....Put left foot on footbrake and you're done...The car won't move more than a foot from the initial force of the tires breaking free...

Go practice it once tonight and you'll be fine...

ya i can do my interpretation of a burnout... rev it up, drop the clutch and tires spin then i usually let off after like 3 seconds, i did one in the jack in the box parking lot a few weeks ago, i dont use the break though.

The track is a great place. Just as josh said, go around the water box and just clean the tires off. After that stage and when you see green go like hell!

speedworld is open wed, fri and sat. nights for racing. wed and sat nights are more for the street cars and fri night is better prepped for racers.

I will give it a try if u are serious. U have D/R's 3.73's and a cam. That car should go 12 flats if not in the 11's.

But anyway, Chris are u bringin the vette or the bird? I definately want to make it down for this. We just goin to meet at the track or what? What time everyone want to plan on getting there?

i say we meet up somewhere and all roll there together, that way we can all park close to each other, and not spread out over the whole place like last time i went... ended up in employee parking or something lol.

because josh keeps saying my lt1 is slowww and im running a 14.2 on more bolt ons then before, although my rev limiter was set at 6100 without me knowing.....isnt the stock rev limit like 5.5k or 5.7k?

could be losing power on that top end
