I had the privledge of attending the 48th running of the Daytona 500 . Needless to say I was blown out of my mind to see my driver Jimmie Johnson take the race. What an awesome event. To fly out from San Diego to see your driver win the biggest car race in history is just amazing. Here are some pics. The dude with the long hair is my brother:

Drove around Daytona once before...Pretty big track
must have been fun, did you see anything? I know i used to go to the Pocono races, it's fun an all, but you don't see ****...I'd rather watch on TV

My seats were pretty good. We saw the cars through all the turns except for a part right after turn four. You are right everything can be seen on T.V. but to hear the roar of the cars is just unbelievable. They sound like a pack of mad bees. What I really got out of it was the experience, a chance to be part of history. It is not everyday you see your driver not only win but win in your presence in the greatest race of all .

I was yelling my *** off and the people around me noticed. Towards the end of the race people started to congratulate me and gave me props for supporting JJ. When I told them I was from San Diego they gave me even more props . That is what I am really going to take away from the experience.
