Cam's in Cali....

Hey, im finally going to do the cam...
But i am in between a 228 duration and a 224 duration (basically because that is all that will pass smog in California, am i right?)
Any of the California guys know if a 228 duration cam will pass smog for sure, i am positive that a 224 will but i would love to go bigger than that...
Anyone know if i can and still pass smog?

DaGeneral Oct 10, 2006 10:43 PM

Smog? What's that ? :naughty:

00Formula00 Oct 10, 2006 11:19 PM

ya i guess there is no such thing if you don't live in FAG CALIFORNIA

Revelation Z28 Oct 10, 2006 11:20 PM

i laugh at the enviornment

import slayer Oct 10, 2006 11:28 PM

I think a 224 is as big as you can go.

00Formula00 Oct 10, 2006 11:45 PM

well what lsa is it on, i have seen a old mms 229 cam on 114 pass with a good tune, i would say if you cam is on a 114 and has a good tune you should pass

RrCoX22 Oct 11, 2006 12:54 AM

228 is basically the largest you can go... like said depending on a the lsa and the tune

00Formula00 Oct 11, 2006 01:04 AM

soooo

224 with 112 lsa will pass?

228 with 112 lsa definately won't pass?

it's on the edge of passing... with a damn good tune

RedHardSupra Oct 11, 2006 02:32 AM

calculate overlap, if it's positive you're screwed. generally tho, a real tune is the key

224 on a 112 should pass ( good tune)
228 on a 112 i dont think it will, unless you run alcohol in the tank, and drive the shit out of before you get there, and get the cats molten hot

Flash99 Oct 11, 2006 12:44 PM

224-230 and I passed smog, barely.

00Formula00 Oct 11, 2006 09:19 PM

alright, im a little confused about installing...how hard is it, more like how easy is it to fuck up??? Cause i called about someone at a shop installing a cam for me, and he said $2500-3000...is that a legit price range?

Revelation Z28 Oct 11, 2006 10:10 PM

i know that with a tune

but summit says on the package that it cannot be shipped to CA

but it got here...
