I do know Rob charges 1500 to tune a FI car and Haddad charges 500 big difference there, but I will not make my decision on that alone.

Rob did you get the email inquiring about using a new ls2 block vs preping my ls1 block and how it would effect the cost? Mike wants to use an iron 408 for the bottom and I think that would create way too much backpressure with my turbonetics TC-76MPS wheel turbo? The turbo is only a T-4 housing.I like the idea of using a 366CI bottom end with my stock crank and ls2 block. He said he could finish the job for 8k with a 408? Do you think we could get the job done within my budget with a new ls2 block? How much would I be spending to prep my ls1 block for the forged bottom end? An ls2 block is 850 new I think or maybe 900? thanks Rob.

TD's, LT's, full suspension (rear & torque arm), Toy Shop trans intstall, torque converter, H/C. Full tune. Spoke to Rob earlier today and am going to have it retuned by him in a couple of weeks. Trans blew when we did the first tune. Not due to Strictly either, A4 stock didn't like the H/C. Also had a Moser 12-bolt w/3:73's installed by them as well.

Why dont you stop posting up here, choose a shop, then get the work done and report back. Stop dragging everyone into a fight, between shops people are gonna have good and bad experiences. You seem like your stiring the pot and trying to create "ISSUES". Right now your taking a $ figure and trying to squeez everything out of the two shop owners. Save up some more $$$ then get your car done completely and correctly. Who cares what shop you go to at this point, just stop with this stupid thread.

The reason you blew the gaskets is you are probably running one of the old style plates with uneven distribution. We did a lot of work on harry's nitrous system to make sure it worked the first time. May want to hook up the plate with the motor and elbow off to see how it is distributing.

very true. check which one of the shops has done similar setup and check for results. i know from experince no one here has done that setup locally. first thing to check for whos build motor handles that kinda of power. making the power with that turbo wont be a problem. how long will it handle, depands on workman ship and piston selction. good luck with your desion making. make sure those numbers are done on chasis dyno. pm me if you have any qustions on that setup.
