Like the title says, i might be going out there for work. I guess the fire departments are paying good. how is the life out there? Clubs, night life, take a lady out kinda thing. Also, hows the race scene? both street, strip, crusing, meets, car shows ect.

I'm from Hoffman Estates/Schaumburg, IL. like 15 minutes outside of Chicago. and our police/fire departments in the area are some of the highest paid in the country.
I highly doubt youd make more here.
The only thing is that out here you need no education, theyll hire pretty much no experience/education.

The Phoenix area is frickin hot! The winters are beatiful though. From about May until about August September it's in the hundereds with highs around 115 or so during July. From September to October November, the highs are in the high 80s low 90s November to about February March, highs are in the low 70s high 60s (maybe high 50s) and March to April May, highs are in the high 70s mid 80s.
As for Tempe, yes it is a party town. Ariz State Univ is the main driver of the Tempe economy/nightlife with approximately 50,000 college students. The girls at ASU are top-notch! There are many clubs in Tempe. Mill Avenue is probably the main place to be on the weekend to hunt down college chicks. Directly to the North is Scottsdale which is among the most livable cities in the U.S. (Ranked #3 I think). Scottsdale has a lot of higher end clubs and is the home to many upper class Arizona residents affectionately nicknamed Snobsdale. I have to admit though, Scottsdale is home to A lot of hot women.
Hope this helps.
