Default head porters? Any good ones in LA or OC?

I picked up a free set of 241 heads, very clean... Anyways, I figured while I have them bare, why not have them worked over.

I will be in LA/OC for a month, is there a shop anyone reccomends for this particular job? Or should I be shipping them to Patriot or Texas Speed for port work?

and before you guys jump on the "get some 243 heads or AFR" or something like that... im using these heads.. they were FREE, in perfect condition, and will be better than my 806 heads from my 98.

Ive looked into shops around so cal and not many specialize in ls1 heads. The ones that will do it are pretty pricey. The best value would be to send them to TEA or Texas Speed.

I took my heads to get milled at el inca racing cams in la it was $25 per head to mill. Mine were already ported but he would do a stage 1 port for $250 and said he could do a stage 2 with bigger valves for $400. If interested pm me and i will give you there number.

Yes, they are really nice guys. (i think they are brothers) They answered all my questions, and inspected cams i brought to them and did a great job on milling my heads. Also, i saw your heads there that he was working on. He was showing me an example of his port work.
