Does this mean that no matter how early you get there before 6 AM, you will have to wait in a parking lot nearby and scramble to the front of the line when they open the gates to beat all the other people waiting in nearby parking lots?

That would suck to show up an hour early if you still have to fight for a spot with people that get there later than you.

Did the track seem slow to any of you guys today at Cal. Speedway? I talked to some people who said the wind wasn't really affecting the times, but it seemed like my trap speeds were down. Then again, I've never run at Cal. Speedway before with this car.

I only got two runs in - the best was a 12.89@108.5 with a 2.19 60'. Not real fast but least I got my first "official" 12 sec timeslip. The time in my sig is a corrected time based my best run at LACR.

Damn, what time did you guys run those? I got my first two runs in then got called back to the office, best time was a 13.8.....

Ran my best run between 9:30 - 10:00am.

Guess just really need to work on my driving abilities...... first one, needed to feather the gas more, instead just punched it, Second one, needed to punch it , and instead feathered it.....how late did you end up stayin?

My best run was at around 12:00.

It was cool to get my first 12 sec. timeslip, but I'm not sure if it's worth getting to the track at 6 AM just to get 2 runs in 7 hours of time at the track...

i ran 2 times. best was a 13.67 i have an a4 ttop ss. mods are slp lid, pacestter lt's and magnaflow catback. and it has 112k miles.

Till about 3:00pm Everyone was starting to leave.

the track was surprisingly good IMO... the wind sucked ass but i got my best run at 2ish...

I went 11.56@120, i think w/o the headwind and after fixing my shift points ill deff. be needing a 6 point. :lol:

Haha I saw snakes are slow run against my buddies cobra(the silver one). The anouncer had mentioned a cobra lining up against a camaro and I thought here he goes again.....gunna smoke another one. I heard the cobra whine coming down the track and thought the cobra was going to win easily but BAMN I saw this camaro fly by WELL ahead of my buddy LOL It was sweet 11.5 vs 12.3 priceless! :)

thanks man, yeah the prep was actually decent and not too much heat... just the wind sucked. my best was a 1.77 so still a bit off from irwindale but each time out the track gets better.

lol yeah i ended up runnin 3 mustangs, 3-0 but your buddies was the fastest, clean lil cobra, my buddy got the run on video ill post it up after i get it. i wanted to run the silver cobra with "11scqtr" license plate, he was a cocky mofo for runnin 12.2's!
