It was good times for me - I was just out of high school... We used to specialize in one-off custom turbo systems, and I learned a heck of a lot about hi-perf auto. It was too bad the guys who owned the place had no idea how to run a business and it went belly-up around 1991.
We used to have a nice Clayton 500HP chassis dyno back then too and I can remember getting the Pantera club down there for a couple events. That was pretty cool. I can remember running a tube chassis Pantera-bodied pro stock car on the dyno which was powered by an Oldsmobile DRCE motor. I thought it was going to break the dyno, but they happened to bring the car in on slicks, which did NOT work very well on the dyno because they were too soft and the rubber would ball-up and it would lose traction. If any of you remember who "Dyno Don" Nicholson was, well, he was there and I think he helped build the car. Well, that crazy **** decided he would stand on top of the transaxle (Pantera=Mid-Engine) while we were running the car on the dyno!!! That was absolutely nuts!
Anyway, back to the topic... Don't make me bring my just-about-stock '95 LT1 down there and bust that dyno! LMAO!

As I recall, he (I think his name was Nick) use to build these "Killer-Bee" rotary engines that were painted yellow & black, and also helped us out when we had Mazdas in our shop.
