Default highway smog things + tickets?

so i was going to the mall from school today and as i was getting on the freeway (215 south) there was one of those damn mobile smog things on the on ramp and it was uphill and i didnt see it in time or i would have shut the car off and coasted trhu.... anyways i went thru it at as little rmps as i could im just worried im gonna get a nice fat ticket for being catless...

anyone know anything about the **** they pull with these things

I think they are just collecting data right now. I doubt it would see your car go by, take a reading, then cross-reference where your HCs CO NOx levels should be at, figure that you're catless and not just driving a car not properly tuned, then send you a ticket for violating a federal law...

i saw one the other day at the 5th street offramp/onramp off the 215. i wanted to pull over and take a **** on the sensor sooo bad.

i havve seen a few of them before, but i have had enough time to shut the car off and let it coast 100 feet before the sensors so that the exhaust was a good ways behind me... this one got me ****** good tho... bastards

what do they look like? I am sure we don't have that stuff around here. I wish we would get those camera's on the traffic lights though..azzholes run lights like crazy around here.

If I see one, I'm gonna stop, do a long burnout, drop as much noxious fumes on it as possible.

They had them in AZ years ago. We called them "Smog Dogs". They were just gathering data geographically throughout the city. There were no tickets being issued.

Well if that's the case..... I hope burnout = smoke cloud = limited visibility.

I still don't think they are going to do anything. Think about all the litigation that occurred for years before we had red light cameras.

im going to buy that reflector spry crap that you spray over the license plate....plate numbers wont show when a picture of it is taken with flash or no flash...nice $20 investment compared to a 1,000 ticket.

nobody seen on the new's.. i guess california emissions is getting fined for this and they are supposed to be taken off the roads

someone needs to drive by with a bigazz supersoaker full of some nasty shiot water and light those sensors up. then we will see what kinda readings they come up with.
