Default Reputable Exhaust Shop

Gentlemen,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a reputable exhaust shop that does quality work for a little cheaper in San Diego County. I am going with TD and Hooker Super Competition with H Pipe and truck tips, long tubes. I know this is going to cost some money, but I was wondering if someone knew of a good shop that is cheap, and/or gives a good military discount. I have the cash (about $1700) for it, but if I could use less than that, parts and all, that would be nice. Who has had good experiences?

We're just north of SD county. Out the Fallbrook gate of pendleton you can make it here in 30-40 min depending on traffic.
Give us a call and we'll see what we can do for you.

did a little more shopping around, I think I can get the stainless steel Hooker Super Comps at Kragen for like $400, the H Pipe for about $100, then I will take all the stuff to an exhaust shop...
Any more suggestions? Just looking for something a little closer than Lake Elsinore. That is a LOONG way for me, I live in Vista...

Well you can get the stainless longtube headers off ebay for like $230 shipped for an ls1 at least, and summit has h pipes for $32 or something like that. If you can get part numbers use google shopping and sort the prices from lowest to highest and that usually gives you your best result.

I would check out Warner's Exhaust shop where El Camino Real ends. They do great exhaust work, although a little pricey. Have them do the installation if you don't want to do it yourself.

If you are going with TD's you will not need the Y-pipe.

Have you considered installing the lt's yourself and driving to a shop to have them finish the exhaust work? Should save you a decent amount of $$

I have really thought about doing at least some of the work myself. My buddy helped someone install some on a ls1 ss, and they had to redo some of the work... Just wanted it done right the first time.
I am going to call CMS and get an idea right now.

I'm assuming your car is an lt1? What lt's are you going with? Its a pretty simple job. I'm in SD and can try to swing by and help you out some if you end up doing your own header install.

I might want to take you up on that. I have a lot of friends that are good at a lot of things, though none of us know much about doing exhaust. Are you military? Otherwise I can meet you and go on base and do it at the shop. I am waiting to hear from Mike at CMS for some prices. Money is an issue, and I would like to have this done sooner or later. He seems to be running a good, reputable shop though, so I would like to do business with him if possible.

Ryne seems to have a good shop. I plan on getting my car dyno tuned there once I finish a few more fixes and mods.

You may want to look into different plug wire options once you install the lt's. I'm sure Ryne will go over all that stuff with you.

I'm not military, but let me know how things pan out. G'luck.
