Along those lines, I would be PISSED if I was Ford and paid money for the GT500 to be used in the show and they showed something like that. That would be like Transformers showing Ironhide keeping up with Bumblebee.

In a super duper sport mach turbo Edge, you can beat a GT500 in "hero" mode to Vegas, find a parking spot, find your mark, get in the Casino and stalk your mark before the poostang can get there!!
GO FORD!!! (i can't believe i just said that, lol)
(lol....Makes me wonder what the Cobalt can REALLY do??? or the explorer sport, lol. Is chevy holding out on us?)

Yeah, its all about how you want to market your products.
If you want your SUV/crossover to look better by bringing down your flagship sports car, then don't ask why you lose billions of dollars each year.
For ****'s sake, if I worked at Ford, I would have had the chase car be a de-badged M3, M5, WRX STI, EVO, something along those lines, and then beat it without any special KITT ****. But no, Ford in their infinite wisdom would like to show how good their Edge is at the expense of the Mustang/GT500.

The GT500 in the show was not a real GT500. Ford gave about 6 GTs and a print out of the specs of a GT500 to Dutch Oven Productions. The production company then did body work to clone the exterior of a GT500.... all of the engines are stock and only one was supercharged with an Eaton for special shots. IMDB has gotten ahead of itself by posting a page that says Knight Rider (2010)... notice there is no info about it because Knight Rider was NOT picked up by NBC for the season nor will it be anytime soon according to an article I read last month in an entertainment industry mag, Hollywood Reporter.
It appears that we GM supporters are not alone, the TV film received backlash from various people in the entertainment industry about the look of the new KITT, as well as for the poor acting abilities displayed by the actors. The Mustang was the best actor in the movie- seeing as hell it's fooled many people into believing it's a real Shelby. I hated this TV movie.... thank goodness that's the end of it.

We didn't care if it was real or not, we just LOL'd at how it was portrayed in the movie. It could have been a Ford Focus dressed in GT500 clothes, in a movie, you can make the car do whatever you want. In this movie, they made the Ford Edge just as quick and nimble. That's just bad marketing.

Off topic, but does anyone remember the show Drive? It was on FOX last year I and I thought it was gonna be good. It was about a crosscountry race. It got canceled after four episodes.
