What's next?????
Tentatively, we are looking at a forged 6.0 with ported 317's, new springs, new cam, maybe underdrive pulley's, 62# injectors, new tune and still run 15# of boost.
We will rebuild the forged 346 (prob spun a bearing) and sell it for a reasonable price. It already had the diamond pistons and eagle I beams, stock heads with 918's with hardened push rods.

I need another engine stand so I can turn this heap over and survey the damage! I'll get it apart by tomorrow and drop some parts off at Shaw City for clean&mag, and machine work.
Cam specs for the 6.0 will be 244*/250*@.050" .595"/.595" 114*, we need to have the converter cut open. You may also want to change the gears back the other direction

It all depends on what I find inside, unless he decides to go ahead with a 6.0 option. It will be fairly quick if we get a shortblock, then I just need to port a set of heads for it and away we go.....

Damage Update!
Well it stretched the ARP heads bolts on both banks and lifted the heads Blew the fire ring out of 2 holes on the Cometic gaskets, toasted some rings and here's a pic of one piston I found with some minor damage.......

that happened on 15#'s' of boost with good ol' Ca 91 octane. hey, lasted 15k doing that, can't really bitch too much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and yes it had a afr of 12.0< to 1 in boost. Just too much pressure too long!

No need, it just may be a month or so, I need to get my 66 GTO on the road like last week LOL! I'm also building a Turbo 03 Lightning in my garage right now and its on my nerves, really I never want to see it again once it runs in a week or so......

I just might! I need to yank the blow'D up engine out swap parts and drop the new engine and turbo crap in. I may BBQ soon and get that sucka knocked out, I'll let you know as soon as I have a plan.....
