I agree. Plus, you're gonna have to stand 20+ ft. back to even notice it.

Some caddy's look like that as well.

In some cases Cost=Quality. If you are looking for a MAX effort cleanest looking setup then you really have shell out some cash for some TRICK pieces.

If you want it just for the sound then anything will work, it's just what you are willing to spend. But a custom setup made on your car is always going to be the best fit over a generic mail order piece.

Call up CMS and see what they can do for you.

that can be done with a well setup y-pipe, no need for true duals.

let me know if you want to know more and i can help point you int the right direction.

The grinding can also be inproper install and the pipe actually grinding on your DS.

The Rasp is not due to the catless y or the LT's it has to due with the muffler chosen and how the mergers are in the system.

Companies like Corsa are able to tune out the low RPM drone of a high flow system by using different shaped louvers and perforations in the muffler itself to cancel out that specific wavelength.

The correct choice of mufflers will of course help to minimize rasp. However, rasp is also known to be generated by Y pipes with shitty merges. Something like a pacesetter Y is a rasp king. This is why people start to think that ORY's cause rasp, it's not that it's catless, it's just the merge which helps cause the rasp.

Ive read of countless people switching to a better ORY and enjoying better exhaust tone.

i definitely agree with you here, a single 3.5 inch, or 4 inch would definitely do the trick and save you some cash and for your combo is more then enough. we can build something like that is well. some like that would run you $700 including a single magnaflow race series muffler in the rear and flowmaster merge in the y - pipe, that is all in installed from the headers back and that is in 3.5 in.

her are the CFM flow numbers for various pipes a 0"hg

2.5-50cfm
3.0-100cfm
3.5-150cfm
4.0-200cfm
4.5-300cfm
5.0-400cfm

Granted the exhaust will flow more since it is being forced out by the pistons.
A single 4 out will flow just as much as a dual 3", butthe dual 3" will be slightly better than a single 3.5"

another option is to use your existing rear section and have a killer y-pipe cutout setup made that will give you all the power you want at WOT but keep the noise down while cruising.
