how old are you? if your mother claims you then she technically should get it, but if she was nice shed give you at least half.
consider how much money she spends taking care of you. i assume you live at home, she pays for your food and utilities. $600 is a fraction of what she fronts for you every year.
now if you live on your own and she doesnt help support you then you should be claiming yourself and then youd get the $600.
mine comes mid-May, as an early birfday gift. i havnt decided to all of it will go toward bills, but chances are it will.

I don't think that's right bro. On the irs page it has this calculator.
It asks you to plug in info off your 1040 form from '07 to find an estimate of how much you can get back. Not everyone will get the 600.00 amount.
Here is that link: http://www.irs.gov/app/espc/

Well my concern as an individual filing isn't whether I'm getting the rebate of $600. I know I'll get something. My concern is if I get the whole $600 or less? I think that's where that calculator comes in.
I was going to plug in my figures on the calculator, but I can't access my '07 1040 form from turbotax to copy it.
If you notice in that irs statement though, it says qualifying individual filers can get UP TO $600, and a minimum of $300. It mentions low income filers that report minimum 3k get the $300. But what about people that made more than that, but less than the 75k? They get the full $600 back, or somewhere in between 3 and 6?
It's not a big deal, I just don't like to guess about money I might receive.
