damnit, i could go get a smog cert pretty easily, but um yeah that 50k fine or 3 yrs in state pen just for an extra 250 a week, aint worth it

One smog shop I checked out the tech seemed cool, but the owner/boss overheard our conversation and started being a dick. Saying **** in a condescending way "if your car won't pass smog, take it to a mechanic" (my reply "that costs too much") and "why would I want to do that, it causes me more problems" (my reply: "you've done it in the past, otherwise I wouldn't be here"). So that visit didn't end nicely.

Point I'm trying to make is it would be tough to do it if the owner/boss was there and didn't support it and if they did support it, there goes your side cash. IMO
