looks like something in the steering column isnt right, if i can fix it tomorrow or friday morning i will be there. I never get good traction there though, never get a good ET

jsteele90 06-04-2008 08:19 PM

i just got some new tires and replaced the broken tranny mount. c.j at cms is installing my sfcs and lca brackets tomorrow and the front sway bar is coming off. just hope i can hook up though.

cookba 06-04-2008 08:29 PM

CJ is a cool guy, he installed all my suspension parts. ask him about an all black Z28 from Miramar HAHAHA, it was an all day ordeal. what kind of tires? i have KDW's and they dont hook worth a shit

jsteele90 06-04-2008 09:11 PM

kumho ecsta spt

cookba 06-06-2008 12:12 AM

Im curious to see how they will hook, especially with a 3600 stall. i have been thinking of a 3600 stall for me too. CJ kinda talked me into it and away from the 3200 i had originally planned to get.

jsteele90 06-06-2008 10:43 AM

the stall and longtubes arent installed yet they are sitting in my spare bedroom. along with a poly torque arm mount and a tsp ory.

satakal 06-06-2008 05:01 PM

I'm gonna be out there tonight in my turbo bmw with dealer plates on it. I'll be doing everything wrong and running slow but having a good time.

jsteele90 06-06-2008 05:09 PM

cookba 06-06-2008 05:47 PM

jsteele90 06-06-2008 06:24 PM

anybody thats going have an extra helmet? fordhater and i both dont have helmets. hoping we can rent one but it would be nice if we knew for sure that we would have one.

jsteele90 06-07-2008 02:48 AM

well the car ran allright last night 8.6 at 86mph. 60 foot still sucks think it was a 2.2. and that was on nitto drag radials.

ford h8tr 06-07-2008 03:07 AM

Well the car ran like shit last night! 8.4 at around 85mph spinning the whole time on nittos. I really need some slicks and suspension!

Yeah, with that 420+ ft/lb of torque on your dyno graph, I'll say you need bigger slicks. Those little 8 1/2" wheels weren't doing it for you.

It was cool meeting you F-body guys. It was so funny seeing you 2 roll in with identical cars. Same wheels and everything. What is up with there being about 20 mustangs and only 2 or 3 F-bodys in attendence? Is it cause most of the mustangs were '04 and there hasn't been an F-body for about 6 years?

Mcar did pretty good. My best of the night was 8.64 @ 83. Maybe it's true... no replacement for displacement. See you guys at the next event. One of these days, I'll be sporting an LS1 in something.
