WCGMP Show & Shine - Aug. 2nd West Coast GM Performance (W.C.G.M.P.) will be putting on its 2nd Annual Show & Shine car show and would like to invite the Western Members of LS1Tech to come out and participate.
This is open to any GM Performance car of any year. And of course spectators are welcome to check out all the clean rides.
Cambrian Plaza - address to B of A inside the plaza is:
14396 Union Ave,
San Jose, CA 95124
Participation is free for all WCGMP official club members. All forum members and other participants will have a $5 entrance fee. The owner's of the top three placed vehicles will be receiving prizes... so bring your A game for this one.
Sign in will start at 2pm for participants. Rags down by 3pm and judging will begin at 3:30. Just like last year, the judges will be the WCGMP officers. The top three places will be announced after the points tally and prizes will be awarded accordingly.
Judging criteria is as follows:
Exterior:
- smooth clean paint
- little to no swirls
- wet and glossy look
- wheels and tires are clean and dressed
- exhaust tips are clean and polished
- no water spots on paint
- clean engine bay (so pop your hoods up!)
- brake calipers (if painted)
- fender wells nice and black
Interior:
- car is vacuumed
- floor mats are clean and without stains
- dash is clean and dust free
- glass and mirrors cleaned and non-streaked
- leather cleaned/conditioned; cloth seats clean and without stains
- clean steering wheel and shift ****
- clean door panels
- no trash in the car
Extra points will be given out for customization as well.
After the show is over WCGMP will be having dinner at:
Pedro's Restaurant & Cantina
3935 Freedom Circle
Santa Clara, CA 95054
Directions to Dinner
Everyone is welcome to come join us for grub. Pedro's has a ton of parking so that won't be an issue.
We hope all of you can come out and enjoy this great event!

I'd just like to mention that people shouldn't be discouraged by the judging criteria. It may sound really strict, but it's really just a way for people to earn a lot of points in an area their car really shines. It's all about cumulative score and there's a ton of categories to earn points in.
We're a very low key group and this is a great opportunity if you've ever wanted to put your car in a show without a ton of pressure or being pitted against strictly "show" cars.
