Mustang owners opinion of LS1 mustang
Check this out fellas. I was messing around looking for a car to toss my extra LS1/TH400 into and found this.

Linked to DFW stang site as well, (they get all huffy at the thought of a LS1 in a mustang):

youve gotta expect that ford guys will have ford loyalties. they are right about the interiors and rear end...but their interiors arent any better. and i might be mistaken, but most of those guys dont have the good rear ends either...do they?

Every mustang i have ever driven They have everything in the wrong place and the seating position is very awkward for anyone over 5-8/175lbs. I'll give them the win for rearends, but trans and motor...... Guess that kinda speaks for itself huh?

Should have gone with that motor then and it would have stayed a ford. What about the regular chevy sb they are dirt cheap to build, just curious to know which one is cheaper to build for my own knowledge.

regular 23* sbc stuff is not all that great for racing, once you start getting into 18* 15* and 12* stuff thats where you start getting into some serious power as well as $$$$..... it all depends what you are trying to do. if you want a healthy 400whp 383 in a classic muscle car then the 23* stuff will work great. if you are lookign at making 600hp then you are out of luck unless you go n02 or a Raised runner head and some other stuff.
