My 2000 Camaro SS - What's it Worth?
Hello!
I have a 2000 Camaro SS that I am considering selling and wanted to know what you guys thought was a fair price for it. Here is a list of some problems:
Info:
2000 Chevrolet Camaro SS
Black
96,000 miles
100% Stock
Needs new clutch
Will eventually need a new compressor
Missing drivers side mirror (has the housing, missing the glass)
Back seatbelts are cut
Drivers side power window works but is really slow
No powertrains problems
Interior is free of tears
Paint is what you would expect of a 10 year old daily driver (chips here and there)
I have checked KBB and talked with a couple of dealers. The problem is I don't know if KBB is an honest reflection of the market (whether the estimates are high or low) and I simply don't trust the dealers I have talked too. I figured you guys would be one of the most reliable sources so let me know what you think?
Thank you!

KBB 'fair' private party value is probably accurate in your case but you have to subtract the repair work needed as well. If KBB says it is worth about $6,000 then subtract the needed repairs to arrive at a selling price. It won't be an easy sell unless you find someone that can do some of the work themselves. No one is going to give you good $$ for a near 100k miles car if it needs $1000+ in repairs. That is what it would cost at most repair shops for clutch work, compressor work and whatever else. I'm probably on the very low side. You would need estimates.
