Default 00 WS6 TA Ram Air "no title" whats it worth?

00 Runs and drives. 114,000 miles 6 speed. No reverse and 1st gear grinds. It has perfect black leather interior full power. Car is silver in color.

I bought the car from a shop. They did work for the owner and he would not pay the bill. After 6months of storage, I bought it for the amount owed with a bill of sale for a parts car only. I checked with a lawyer and as long as I keep the bill of sale and don't tag the car and try to sell it that way, I am fully legal in purchasing it.

My question is what is it worth?

if you can't drive it, its not worth anything unless your willing to part the car out. how much you pay for it?

$1500.

I plan on parting it out, I just wonder what the value of the car is as a whole. What could I expect to get out of it through parting it out. A ball park estimate of course.

depends how much time you want to spend dis-assembling the car, people always need little $10-20 parts but most of the time people wont take the time to ship. you could make quiet a bit of profit. i imagine from the hood alone would be half of you're cost

you can always file an abandoned car title , or simply see if the guy will sign the title over to you there are a ton of ways to go about getting a title i would try things before parting a out a car that could be a decent dd but thats me

the shop can file for a mechanics lein (sp) and in which they get the title in there name and have the right to sell it out right and legal to some one that would pay what they had in it and want to drive it...

I call dibs on the hood if you part it out

A solid roller will go for $2-3k which is probably what you could get for it if you find someone looking for a "Track-Only" car

the proper way to do that would be for the shop to file a mechanics lien on it.. then they get the title for it, sign it, and you now have the title to the car...

also u might check into the issues u could have if the owner reports it stolen and the shop has not filed the proper paperwork... u could be facing legal action if it ever comes down to that

also, without them filing for the lien, you MAY have the issue of there being a loan out on the vehicle.

I'd definitely wait it out and see what the shop can do about getting a title for it. It'll be worth MUCH more so someone if they can drive it on the street and at the track if they want. You're prolly looking around 7-9k depending on the condition of the car if you can get the title. Otherwise, you could prolly part it out and get around 3k and have a lot of time invested in it.

Id say more than likely the car has a loan on it, An the title is tied up in a loan, Why wouldnt a owner of at least a 8k car say screw it an not pay the $1500 owed, I know i would to get my car back even if i had to sell it to repay the $1500. better to make some money than no money, Me personally i would part it out, or sell as a race car only, EDIT___ What did the shop do to it for that kind of money when it still has problems? trans work needed
