Default 2002 Camaro Z28 LS1/A4

I am gonna sell my 2002 camaro z28 ls1/a4 with 47,000 miles on it. What should I ask for it?

What is wrong with it - I hit a deer and the insurance totaled it out and I bought it back. I already had the title before the wreck so the title is still the blue one. It needs a new passenger side fender, front bumper and maybe the core support. Also the air bags went off tearing up the dash and busting the windshield. I am also missing the front drivers side ground effect.

What it has - A ls1/a4 combo with around 47,000 miles on the car. I have LT headers, y pipe and a SLP Loud mouth exhaust. Ported TB and MAF Sensor, and I believe the 02's came with a ls6 intake. I have a B&M Trans cooler and Yank 3600 stall in the A4. The car has leather seats, no t-tops, its a hardtop, it is Arctic White and I have 17x9 black zr1's all the way around.

This is all I can think of for now, ask a question and I will answer. Like I said I am just trying to get a ball park of what I should ask for the complete car as is. It runs and drives like new, A/C blows cold and there are no leaks. The only damage was cosmetic, the motor and trans are still in the car, I can start it up and give you a ride in it. Thx in advance

With no pictures and just going off what you say it needs - Your looking at 6000 worth of damage using CCC estimating software. The damn dash/Airbags/Windshield is like 2800 of the damage.

The car perfect is worth 9 to 10 K. I think around 5K is the TOP dollar. Glad you were smart enough to retain the car!

This is coming from a Former Body Shop Production manager who now works for an insurance company and has had many F-Bodies.

I am intersted, just would like to see pics of damages.

Sounds like a good parts car. Salvage title.. it ain't worth more than a couple grand. I would definitely part it out. You'll get more money that way.

Salvage title automatically drops the price in half - then consider how much it would cost to repair... you're probably going to get more parting it out

when an insurance company totals a car... it becomes a salvage title.

Just going off what I have heard, but I was told you could file for paperwork that retains the blue title as long as the damage was cosmetic. Not 100% on this, but has anyone else heard this?

Nope, never heard of that but maybe Texas is different in title matters. You would need to call your DMW to get the 'correct' and 'legal' answer.
