bone stock, black with chrome wheels, new tires, has 145xxx which kinda scares me but its a unmolested car and the paint and body on it are flawless! i was wonderin what is would be worth because im thinknin that 5500 is more than a fair price... thoughts??

I agree with ya. That is more than fair for a car with that mileage. If well maintained it might be good for another 50,000 miles or so, but on the other hand it could die next week. Definitely a roll of the dice.

That mileage is not excessive. If its unmolested and in good shape, you'd be doing good to get it for only $5500. FI motors should go 200k and above easy.

$4500 is highest i would go. '98 is the first year with those computers, they go and make the car act extremely strange (hard to diagnose spend all kinds of money changing parts until someone figures it out) most '98 owners i know have either had their's repinned to the newer style 99+ or spent a million bucks on bs repairs due to being stubborn. think to yourself something, in 2-4 years it will have 180k or more on it and be worth maybe $3k.. these cars are the next "third gens" in pricing, just look att eh LT1's, these are going to be next. and a high mileage, "worst year" is going to really take a hit. How many owners? any accidents? carfax killed the resale of anything that has even a minor discrpenciy or accident/report. be careful, holdout for your best option. i would pass on the '98 in general (unless they repinned it already. good luck!!!
