What's it Worth: 2000 Z28 A4 192k
Debating selling my Z28 to find a fresher one I can tinker more with. Wondering what people would actually pay for it.
If I sell it, I'll be returning it to stock configuration, exept for the 3.73 rear, the LM1 catback and the slp lid.; they'd stay with the car.
192,xxx miles; mostly highway from the original owner. Car runs strong, still plenty fast. Oil changed every 3000 miles. Ebony leather interior. Body is in fair condition. Has the usual chips and dings from road damage. Drivers side rocker is dented, and front bumper cover has a small gash above the passenger fog light. Paint is faded in spots, but no peeling. Still good looking.
Book value, given condition, is $3k for trade in, a little over $4k for private party. NADA says, again given fair condition, average trade in is $3500 roughly. Should it be close to these estimates?

Yes, those estimates are very close. $3,000 may be the best you can do with mileage approaching 200,000. Even though 'strong' at the moment, the car isn't too far from F-body heaven. Most buyers won't gamble more $$$ than that.

my buddy picked one up same year with 193k miles and fresh macco paint (not so fresh a month later. looks like poop) for $2400 out the door from a dealer. so he really only paid like $2150 for the car cause of tax tag title
