That SS sounds really sweet! Finding an unmolested one owner, low mileage, stock SS is getting tougher each and every year that passes by. If truly excellent with no issues I would pay up to $11,000 for it. If the owner wants a little more, maybe up to $12,000, I wouldn't let it slide if you loved the car. I'm hoping this SS is a 'private party' sale because if it is at a dealership they are probably asking much higher.
I'd like to hear what happens, or what the owner is asking, if you don't mind when you get the opportunity. Good luck!

I think that is a fair price for an original owner car with only 36k. You are not stealing it but you are not overpaying either in my opinion. If you like it buy it.

I agree with what this dude wrote -- he did a great job and I couldn't have said it any better myself!

Good luck with your decision, man!

Im surprised he doesn't want 18,000 for it. I think that is a good fair price for both parties.

he wanted $15k for about 2years and hardly any hits so he went down i'm just worried about the bubbling on the paint on that sail panel its all the way across and from what i hear you can't just paint them you have to replace which could be pricey

There is a lot of info about that topic on this site. Do your research, decide if: a) you can live with the bubbling or b) need to fix it.
The $12,000 firm price is up to you. I posted earlier that $12,000 seemed to be top $$ but not to turn it down if you love the car. This is entirely your call right now. Either way, nice find!

That's great news!! Time was on your side. Don't get any tickets rushing over there to get it.
