Pricing help on LS1

I'm very green to this whole thing and looking at building a car for myself I have a motor lined up for tomorrow it is:

LS1 freshly rebuilt but has been sitting
Auto trans
Ecu

All for $1200

I feel like this is a really good deal just need a second opinion

Also what should I be looking for when I go there

Any help is much appreciated

Thanks in advance

Re-built by who?? A trusted shop or a backyard mechanic? Any paperwork (receipts) or warranty or has it been sitting for too long?? Why is it sitting and not used??
These are just the starting questions. BE VERY CAREFUL you don't buy someone else's mistake. 'You get what you pay for' 9 times out of 10. This sounds way too cheap which sends up the red flags.
I know what I just stated above really sounds negative but there are enough 'nightmares' to go around for those that ass u me things. If you get one answer where the seller says, "I don't know", walk away.

** Also look at this prior post with prices in the $2,500 - $3,500 range, especially posts #9 and #12 which sounds quite accurate: https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...ld-prices.html

Best of luck!! You don't want to throw away good money.
