What's It Worth - Built 2000 WS6 Just to get everyone's opinion on my car. I have a 2000 Pontiac Firebird WS6 with 31000 original miles. The car is black on black t-top with the following mods: LQ9 6.0 block 408 Callies crank Callies Compstar rods Diamond pistons 243 TSP heads ported and polished MS4 Cam SVO 42lb green top injectors Fast 92 Intake and TB 150hp Nitrous Viper spec T56, carbon synchros, steel forks, DFX centerforce clutch and pressure plate, Tick adjustable master cylinder, Pro 5.0 shifter Strange S60 with lightweight spool, 35 spline axles BMR torque arm Founders Performance adjustable LCA's Founders Performance panhard rod Koni Axj shocks Drilled and slotted rotors 17x9 & 17x11 Chrome Torque Thrusts w/ new rubber The only bad on the car is it has a cracked dash pad but I have a new one for it. As far as all of the performance mods, the car was bone stock up until 29000 miles so all of the mods only have 2000 miles on them. Please everyone chirp in and let me know what it's worth as I am selling it after this posting. Thanks. Tony |
Does it still have A/C and heat? How many owners? I would say just off the top of my head $10-13K You need to find someone that is looking for those mods, not a stock or close to stock car... |
I'd say around $13K if it were a stock specimen. With the mods being fresh, and hopefully not beat on since being done, I don't see why it wouldn't be worth around that same level. If someone were looking for a modded car to this extent this sure beats doing it themselves and tossing $thousands out the window. Start off by asking $14K-$15K. It should be a lot more desirable than most modded cars which start out with 2X to 3X that mileage. Hardbones is spot on if the AC and heat are missing...big deduction. |
It is a 2 owner car, my self and the original owner. The car still does have heat and ac. |
Agreed. 10k low end 12 or 13 high end. |
Sounds like I should just part her out then and get full value. I hate tearing my cars apart but I guess one less F Body will bring up the values of others, lol. |
Yeah, I've said on here before and I'll say it again. These cars are old enough now that clapped out junk is obtainable by your average high schooler for 4k, but they aren't old enough to desirable by serious collectors. 4 or 5 years ago your car would have been 14k all day. It seems values have dropped significantly as of late. I took my car in for a trade evaluation one time and they said it was worth 4k lol. Granted that was a dealer, but the guy was straight with me and said they would only sell it for 7k on the lot even if they could get anyone to look at it. He was probably feeding me a lie, but that's what he said. |
Maybe clapped out junk is a lot cheaper than 4 years ago. But lower mileage, 1-2 owner, mostly stock LS-1 F bodies are actually priced about the same or higher than they were in 2011. I found better deals in 2011 than I have in 2014 or 2015. I'm just hoping some of those great deals from 2011 show up again someday. I have no doubt the dealers "think" they are worthless when buying them or even telling you what they'd sell them for. But, if you look on Autotrader or Ebay you will see 90% of them priced at stupidly high money. |
