94 M6 Trans Am GT 42000 miles 
Im looking at a 1994 T/A GT M6 with 42000 miles. Supposedly always garage kept, super clean. Dealership took it in on trade and and is firm at $9500.

At $9500 firm seems very strong to me. You can basically buy a 4th gen M6 with similar miles for that money. Let them know what you'd pay if you really have an interest....then walk. They can contact you if they want to move it. A lot of white dots all over the front end of the car. Can't be that "clean." And it's not all bird poo either. From that photo I would have guessed 2X the mileage.

A better link to the dealer's website. I've seen this dealer's name on similar cars before. They do seem to ask strong money. 1 owner, very clean car. If it runs and shifts as good as it looks, it might be worth the $9K. They aren't that common. And the opti-spark haters (and only 275 hp) will probably chime in. I had a 1993 black TA M6 back in 1994-1995. And that car was slick. The shifter I thought was excellent though the only comparison I had were 1968/69 Mopar 833 4-speeds....and never a noise out of that M6.
In thinking back to those days, that car was more fun to drive than my current 1999 SS M6. Maybe it's because the ride in that TA was a bit more "plush" considering the smaller tires, etc. I really liked that car. Drove it from 22K to 55K miles before I sold it. I didn't know squat about shifting back then...and routinely down shifted the trans to slow down from all sorts of speeds....though only 1 gear at a time. It didn't complain once and still shifted smooth as silk when I sold it.
This dealer handles a ton of cars. So they probably won't have this car too long, regardless of what they get for it.

Only 3-4 cars listed with under 60K miles and M6 for $15K or less. The purple, 1 owner car with 32K miles seems like a much better deal at $8500. Grandparents car no less. Another one owner car with 28K miles has paint issues and asking price is under $5K.

It's an extremely nice car, seems to be in much nicer condition than the one in this thread, but as an A4 Z28 it likely has even less value. I like the rare red-accent interior (this was code 73B on the LS1 cars, not sure on the RPO for the older interior) with the white exterior. This car will be for sale until the end of time at that price, in reality it's worth more like $8000, maybe $8500. I've recently seen two other '93-'94 LT1 A4 Z28s with half the mileage (~20k range), and in just as nice of condition, stay listed for over a year at prices of $9-10k - just no takers for those cars. You have to get pretty aggressive with pricing on an LT1 A4 car to get it sold, people just won't pay much for these when many of the LS1s have gotten so affordable. Another member just posted about buying a BGM '98 Z28 A4 with only 14k miles for just over $11k which, again, puts this 41k mile '94 in the ~$8500 range tops - no matter how nice it is.
Having said that, I would be extremely interested in the Z28 I just linked above if it were a fair price. It's exactly the sort of car I'm looking for at the moment, but I'm not willing to consider overpaying by ~50% for that car.

I have always wondered if people actually pay these kinds of prices for base model LT1 cars. My intial impression was "no" in that most I see sit for years but just to know that some even ponder paying these kind of prices is somewhat promising I guess.
I generally have a pretty good feel on the LT1 market as I look at the stupid things pretty much everyday using multiple sources. That being said no non-special package LT1 car should be demanding more than $5-6K for a clean example unless there are significant motor modifications (this of which assumes there is a buyer looking for cheap drag car). For $9K+ you can pick up really nice examples of LT1 WS6, SS and Firehawk cars no way would I ever recommend anyone paying above $6K for an LT1 car without looking into the more specialty packages.
Edit: There is a prime example on this site of a decent price on an LT1 SS car.
