Im looking to buy this car. Lowest he would go is 9500 its a super clean car with most of the engine maintnace completed. Such as wp ext .interior is new with no rips. I just dont want to pay the 9500 and the car not being worth it. If I had lower miles in a heart beat I would pay the 9500 im hesitant because of the 14tk

M6 SOM SS/WS6 cars don't grow on trees, especially if taken care of and fully maintained. The bottom line is what major drive train, suspension, and electrical systems might fail in the next 10K-20K miles? I'd be leery of that many miles, especially with an M6 and stock rear end. Fwiw, the very first SS I considered buying was a 2001 SOM A4 with 44K miles back in fall of 2011 - ask price was a very fair $10,500. So an M6 was buyable at $1K-$1.5K more and with 44K miles....not 144K miles.
I'd figure $1,000 tops for the SOM premium at that mileage. Most others here would probably assign it a lot less ($0-$500). 10% is usually how I factor it in. You can find a lot lower mileage M6 for $10,500. For $10,500 I'd expect to be able to buy a 2001 SS M6 in black/red/silver/white/blue with 50K-65K miles. That's light years from 145K miles.
Imo they've negated any benefit of the SOM with the "GMMG" wannabe upgrades, black painted rear, SS labeled seat covers, black wheels, etc. The "import killer" decal/paint under the hood sums it all up. The CME exhaust is nice...but no black wing air lid. I guess they didn't "want it" enough. No doubt some people will like the overall look of the car. Just doesn't do it for me as a factory SOM. With those changes, I'd consider the SOM premium to be $500 max. $10,500 seems way too much to me. $7K-$8K sees more like it.

I'm with Firebrian on this 100%. Way too much $$ for those miles. Paying over book with potential repairs needed within a year's time equates to a potential 'money pit' with no way of ever seeing your money again. Even if you put thousands into it to make it right, the car is still worth the same $8k at best. It doesn't go up in value. Not a good situation to be in and the overall ownership experience will not be a happy one. It concerns me a lot that you would describe a 140,000 miles car as 'perfect' in your initial post. No such animal unless torn down and professionally restored. I have 90,000 less miles on my one owner car that is 'show' ready. Perfect? No way. Excellent? Not likely. Very good? Possibly. Adding 90,000 miles from now?? I don't want to think about it. Reality.

Miles are also questionable. I bought this 95 F150 from the original owner. He drove it from his garage, to a covered parking garage every single day. Had 240K miles on it. Never gave so much as a check engine light, and while I wouldn't say it was perfect, it was in excellent shape.
All in the care and feeding of the car.
