Default 1994 convertible red camaro with 9000 miles

Hi guys,
what is an all original 1994 red Z28 convertible worth? It has an automatic 4L60e and less than 9000, yes, nine thousand, miles. The paint and body are perfect. The top is black.

I would guess between 16-18k the right buyer might pay more. Just a ballpark tho.

The LT1 F-body market is pretty soft, with few exceptions.

A very close local friend of mine sold his red '96 SS M6 D82 hardtop car a couple of years back. He was the original owner of the car, ordered it with a host of desirable options (including SLP upgrade content). This car had only 3,500 miles and was truly collector grade; completely original (including original tires) other than battery and fluids. He sold it on consignment through a well-known specialty dealer and even they couldn't get more than $17k out of it. Convertibles can certainly bring more money from the right buyer all else being equal, but in this case all else is not equal (i.e. the A4 trans and Z28 trim level are less desirable, plus the additional mileage). Also, convertible enthusiasts are in the minority within the 4th gen F-body world, so finding that one right buyer at top dollar might take quite a bit longer.

FWIW, as another point of reference, there is an extremely nice 11k mile LS1 A4 Z28 convertible that's been for sale in my region for 1-2 years now, no takers at $15.9k. And the LS1 is generally more desirable for most folks in the 4th gen market.

Overall, I think the above estimate of $16-18k is considerably on the high side based on the known information. I'd say ~$12k range is more realistic, give or take a bit depending on state of maintenance, level of detailing, and regional price adjustment.

I am one of those convertible lovers and agree about a price in the lower teens. I doubt I would pay more than $14k as absolute top $$$ if I was in the market. I have no problems owning an LT1 engine as I have owned two in the past. I had a '96 Formula for 9 years and had no issues with it. It's just that the LS1 is a bit more preferable to many and therefore worth a bit more. If I was in the market, I would start looking at the LS 'verts first but would certainly consider a car like the one you are talking about if priced right. Are you buying or selling? Always interested in follow-ups. Thanks!

Quick sell - $11,950

Honestly, don't see the car going for more than $13,500, sadly LT1's get less love than 3rd Gen's these days.

I wish you the best. Sounds wonderful. I always recommend Hemmings for these special ultra low mileage cars. That's where interested parties will look and also where the $$ might be.
