Default What's it worth? 2009 Shelby GT500KR

I know of a some what local guy who has a 2009 GT500KR that he wants gone. An oldschool hotrodder that needs garage space for other toys. I'm seriously thinking about buying it. I know that KBB and Edmunds type values are often inaccurate for rare or specialty type cars. And I don't know much about Mustang values. Anybody have a good idea on what sone thing like this should go for?

Black on black 6 speed....I think they all were manual....with 3,000 miles on it. Obviously a rarely driven garage queen. I know I'm on the 'wrong' site, but this is my goto. And I think a couple of you guys may have something similar.

I know it's a Mustang. But it's the "King of the Road".

But yeah, it's a Mustang.

Good looking car though. They seem to fall on their face on the strip, but it's gotta be a fun going sideways machine. Plus the blower sound, and somehow those mod motors seemed to keep some of that 5.0 sound that I personally like. Car is bone stock. I'm assuming that means a higher value like our beloved 4th gens. Could be wrong.

Anyone?

Probably not much help, but I found one listed on hemmings with under 6k miles for $60,000. What is his asking price?

https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds...r/2318407.html

Also found one similar to the one you are describing with 8,500miles for $52,000.

You probably should toss both of those out as those are retail "collector car" dealers shooting for the moon. Try and find asking prices and sales from private parties.

With a $77K MSRP and a $40K KR ad package, you can probably figure there's a big discount now for that option. A decent starting point for VERY low mileage cars that have decent demand is 40-60% of original MSRP.
