Default What size nitto? Your opinions on nittos!

So, I was planning on going with 315 MT ET Streets, but got talked out of them since the car is a DD.

How well will nittos hook and are they the best to DD? The car is currently making ~500 hp / 550 tq. Are nittos my best option?

Current rear rims are 15x10, what size would be best? 325 50r15s?

Suggestions on what I should run up front with them?

Thanks for any input !

Go with the MTs. Your wasting your time with NITTOs. I got the 315-35-17 DRs and they rock. My NITTO DR sucked. They served there purpose of a tire, Unless you are going with a non drag radial then go ahead.

I use my Nitto DR's as street tires.

Hoosier QTP's for the track.

Nitto's hook well on the street though, and last much much longer. For the track they are average

he obviously knows the MT's are better, but not for a DD... the nittos will last way longer, and ive never had a problem in the rain. i would say think of them as the best traction street tire you can get and if you do a real good burn out on them then theyll be pretty good at the track. hope this helps

Yeah, definately go with the nitto's for the street unless you are willing to replace your tires every 5k miles. I daily drove my nitto's with a 450rwhp M6 and didn't have any problem whatsoever on the street. The best thing to do is get the nitto's for the street and some MT/Hoosier radials on another set of wheels for the strip, that is what I will be doing next season.

Best I got on my 315/35/17 Nitto DR's was a 1.86 sixty. M6 car.
At the time, that worked for me.

I love the Nitto's for street use. They hook so much better than any street tire I have tried. I get about 15K miles out of a set.

Overall...for a DD car, I would probably have to say the Nittos. Maybe get a set of salad shooters (16x8) for the track and put some DOT slicks on them.
