Did a search and alot came up for f-bodys, but my friend is swapping his 2.73's for a set of 3.73's in a corvette and would like to know what kind of gain to expect. This is an 2001 coupe with an auto.

The reason I'm asking is he thinks that he's going to gain .5 in the 1/4 by changing the gear. When I switched from a 2.73 to a 3.42, I only gained .05 - .1 in the 1/4, but I do have a big stall and exhaust where as his is stock.

Any help would be great.

as long as hes hooking the same i could see .4-.5 sec gain.

wrong section and if he is on a stock stall he will be lucky for .1-.2 drop in his et.

Lid/cutout/2:73 a4 = 13.0 @ 107 1.9 60' dead hooking on stock RSAs

added 3:73s.

Best of 12.5 @ 112 1.8 60' on same stock tires.
