Buying New Tires Soon, But Need Some Advice.
Hey guys, I got a set of 275 Sumitomo's in the rear of my 2000 Z28. I dont relly seem to have any real problems with spinning or anything like that when I'm on the street or even at the track. But The tread is starting to get low and I have been looking around for a new rear set of tires. I am looking for something that I can use as a DD tire, but are able to go to the track/street and get good grip. I dont do much driving besides to my Apt. and to my work, which are both really close to each other. What I have been looking into is maybe a set of MT's, KDW's, or some set of Nittos. Just worried/confused alittle, because I have heard stories about MT's on a stock rear that like to make things go "BOOM" and Im not looking to do a rear-end rebuild at the moment. I have also heard mix reviews about Nittos. Any suggestions on my next set of tires would be appreciated. Where the deals at? Whats the best for me to go with? Etc...??

I have had both the MTs and the Nitto's. I thought i liked the Nittos until i had a set of the Mt's. The MT's are just nasty, they grip like nothing else but you have to really take the rain like a granny. Plus they eill wear out after 9000 miles or so. Being that your car is a DD, i go with the nitto's for now, they will give you about 15000 miles.

yeah the nt05s wont grip like mickey's but i can cruise 75 - 80 in the rain with absolutely no worries. and they are built off of a road race slick design so they handle nasty.
