oewheels w/Nitto 305/35/18 DR ?
Hi All...
I've looked and looked over tons of threads and seem to be getting conflicting answers to my question.
I have a 2000 Firebird Formula and I have purchased OEwheels 17x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear. They have the standard 54/56 offset. I am going with the standard 275/40/17 (Yokohama) tires in the front which I don't have a concern about, but I would like to go with a Nitto 305/35/18 Drag Radial in the rear. I really do not want to have to do any rolling or wheel well pounding. I would not mind replacing the studs or using spacers if needed.
I have heard the Nitto's are narrower than other brands of the same size and that the OEwheels in 10.5" do not have clearance issues on stock suspensions. Am I going to run into headaches here? If anyone recommends an additional spacer to add to the offset, any recommendations?
Sorry to ask such a similar question to one that so many others have asked as well, but I really couldn't find an answer for my specific setup of interest. Thanks in advance.
