Default Fikse out of business?

I just read on CF that they went out. What happened? Anybody picking up the tooling and design patents?

Wow thats crazy if its true...... But maybe if they didnt charge a small fortune for their wheels, they would be a little better off.

It has already been tried. Those files and designs will go to the grave with Jim Fikse.

It wasn't their prices, but their business operations. You can't run a crappy business for a long time.

although their wheels were top notch, the designs were outdated its hard to stay in business with competition like iforged and ccw selling cheaper better looking wheels that are also multi piece

I will second the outdated look. Even though they were killer looking. I had about three sets of them, and loved them. But the reverse lip look is in, and it looks better.

You have to beable to make wheels for lots of different applications (bling bling type stuff too) vs ONLY making wheels for the sports car market.

Default Fikse is back - and so is Will!!!

I just got an e-mail from Will with a Press Release stating that Fikse's assets are now in the hands of a new owner. The best part is - the new owner - Kodiak Motorsports - says that Fikse will live on with Will Anthis at the helm of sales.

Bravo, it is good to see these beauties will not be gone for ever.

His contact info is as follows:

Will Anthis
Sales & Marketing Director, Fikse Wheels
Tel. 253-326-4713; Fax. 253-660-5757
