How much are REAL Grandsport wheels worth?

Black with a polished lip

Fronts are... 17x8.5, part number 9592382
Rears are... 17x11, part number 9592479

All have some curbrash. I dont have pics right now, just thinking about buying them.

Are they "rare"? And does the rarity actually mean anything?

Like anything else for sale...they're worth what someone is willing to pay for them. Ask yourself how much you want to pay for 10+ year old curb rash wheels.

They made 1,000 Grand Sports in '96. I guess that could make those wheels "rare". Given the current state of the economy, I don't think people will be lined up to purchase those wheels unless the price takes into account their condition. Unless you're dying to have them, I sure wouldn't pay a premium...

A guy I work with has 3 sets off his old c4, he had a drag set, a street set, and an autox set... he can't sell them for shit, and they're all straight from the dealer back in the day.

^^ is that for the set?

'Trust' 12-11-2009 11:57 PM

Not much more than $5-$600 for the set I'd bet. They are deep lug and don't fit perfectly on fbods, that coupled with the idea of 13 year old chrome doesn't sell well. If you find a C4 ZR1 owner that needs a set and has to have a GM stamp, then you may get lucky, but on here, people will probably just go to OE wheels.

They're true grandsport wheels so theyll fit fine on an fbody. They're black w a polished lip, so no chrome.

And 2fnquick... Ya it's for the set

hitmanws6 12-12-2009 04:38 AM

the only thing you are really paying for is the offset. they stick further out from the body than regular ZR1s

The offset on real zr1s is 36mm, grandsports have 50mm so they actually are more 'sunken in'.

You're right, I was thinking ZR1 wheels. I still don't think you'd get more than $600 for them though, with tires.

ZR1's stick out more. The actual ZR1 cars had a wider rear body than the other C4 cars. GS cars just had wheel flares on them.
