Default OEM 17x9" WS6 rims... fattest tire?

Whats the biggest size I can fit ALL AROUND on my ws6? I don't want staggered, because I rotate my tires to keep proper wear... yeah its a street driven car a lot! is 275 as big as I can go in the front? Thanks anyone for the info!

285/40 but some turds swear you can run a 315/35 but dont it looks ratarded and its not safe. you can always opt for the zr1 17x11s and some dudes run 315s even up front for moto cross. id say just run the 275 your only talkin a few mm in difference plus theres more options as far as tires go in the 275. tho its prob not what u wanted to hear...

I'd just stay with 275/40's...285/40's will fit but 10mm more tread isn't gunna look or perform that much different...

and I'm just waiting for sumbody to start in and say 315's will fit and for this thread to get locked lmao...

Just remember, if you wear a size 11 shoe you could fit yur foot into a size 10 or 12 shoe, but that doesn't mean it "fits." It just goes on...

The only 315 tire I would run on a 9" rim are the Nitto 555R Drag Radials. They are very narrow for a 315 already and they fit actually quite nicely. They look almost like a 285 when mounted up.

Depending on what your looking to do with the car, I have had GREAT success with NT-O1's and NT-O5's.. Both are an excellent tire for max performance and both are speed rated "W"

If your looking for a High-Performance all season, you may want to look into some of the upper end Kumhos.. I know they are cheaper than a lot of other tires in the same category, but they are really a great tire for the money and very predictable right to the edge of adhesion.

I would still never do it...they may run narrow, but they're just more expensive, and even 275/40 555r's are enough grip for a majority of mostly stock and even the majority of modded fbody's you see.

why did you do 315's? 275's are cheaper.

Hello from TN gents, sorry to hijack the thread,

Sorry but I'm a noob to the LS1 world..... I own an 04 Dodge Ram SRT-10 (never mind that) but my brother has a 2002 T/A WS6 and is starting the modding process. Here is my/our question:

What is the biggest tire/rim combo that the members have fit on the back of their T/A? He's looking to get a little more meat on the ground without having to shave the fender wells. He's going to leave the stockers on the front.

He should be posting this up, since I'm sure he will learn a great knowledge from this forum as I have from my forums for my truck but he doesn't have a computer (loser)!

All help is greatly appreciated in advance!
