I would need a picture of what they would look like. When the C6 when DD it changed the look of the spokes a bit. I would think these would be the same.

Why don't you just get C6Z DD? It doesn't look that different and is an updated style anyways...

I'd like the look of the gray oem color C5 Z06 deep dish (in a 17x11 preferably) better than the C6 Z06. I feel like the little extra sidewall on a 17 will translate into better off-the-line traction... for drag a 15 is really about the best, but I think 17" is a pretty good compromise for handling/strait line. 19" is just too big for my taste.

Here's the finish that I would like:

Make the front 17x9
Make the rear deep dish 17x11
and you make me fork over the cash!

to me the c6 z06 and c5 z06 look totally different.. the c6 "spokes" are more narrow and the c5 "spokes" fill up more of the rim....

How much more interest would it take to actually put this into production? I could see this being appealing to many different crowds. I'd say that some actual C5 Z06 owners would want to purchase a set just to get the deep dish look (and a wider footprint), while maintaining a classy stock look at the same time. Obviously there's plenty of interest in the Fbody crowd... and that's just from LS1Tech. When they hit ebay you'd attract the other 99% of the potential market that's never heard of LS1tech, but equally agrees that they're sweet.

Honestly, most of the C5 Z06's that are on the market now are (in my opinion) hidious. I don't personally care for chrome, polished, or black (not that the finish has anything to do with my opinion), but that's all we've got to choose from... right? Does someone make the paited silver like the picture of the stock rims above? Or are the silver paited rims that we've been rocking in the Fbody crowd all from actual Z06 vettes? What I absolutely dispise are the knock-offs with the little beeds/studs that go around the edge That just looks cheap to me... a little on the ricer side. Not to mention that the whole reason most of us go for an OEM wheel design is because they're unique to GM and most any combination of corvette wheels on an Fcar looks natural.

If sales are slow on the current production of C5 Z06 wheels then it might be because we all don't want black, or chrome, or ricer studs, or 18" rims... and NONE of them are DEEP DISH!!! You'll see guys sell off the same wheel just to get them back in deep dish!

Okay, I'm done, lol.

im totally with you on the most part kurtrardin.... i think the reason interest are dropping in the c5 z06 wheels is because you cant get a deep dish or a wider selection of options on them so people opt for the c6 z06 wheels instead... and i am for 1 with keeping it in the chevy family when it comes to wheels. I refuse to buy anything other than oem gm style wheels.. i bet if i posted on a corvette forum...well there might actually be a thread like this one already.. but im sure you'd get ebay users, corvette forum users, and ls1tech users willing to buy a set in a heartbeat. I have $1,000 cash burning in my bank right now for my camaro!!! and i want those wheels.. we need more people to vote to actually get anything to happen

++++11111 I've been wanting this to go into production for over a year now.

c5 zo6's are by far my favorite wheel sub 1k range on an fbody. I have sent 3 to 4 messages to OE wheels through the past year regarding this subject and all the responses are that there is no interest. There is plenty of interest in this DD c5 zo6.

In my opinion it would be one of your best selling wheels!!

I would like a black c5 zo6 with a stainless lip and NO RIVETS... I would even buy a set of 17's and 18's right now of the regular c5 z06's if you can get me them in solid black with no lip??!!!!!

I agree the rivets look ricerish unless it is a multi piece wheel, i think polished aluminum would work out good too, looks good on my ws6 wheels almost as good as my oem chrome y2ks

Scott,
Any idea on when a decision might be made one way or the other? As I would much rather buy a set of C5 Z05 DD wheels that are machined faced with black vents versus just the regular C5 DD wheels.
