315 NT05R's

I just got them in today. I must admit they look nice but smaller than what i thought they would look. They hook alot better than the bfg's I had. Still no track times but heading towards the track next weekend to see how they do. Anybody else running them?
Here's a couple pics, ill have more of them on the rims later.

red281gt Mar 14, 2010 06:26 AM

im going to order another set soon in 315's. are they smaller then the bfg's were? the 275's i have are the same size as my 275 bfg's were.

HoLLo Mar 14, 2010 07:48 PM

They are a damn good looking tire for sure, but I went with the Toyo DR's because of the price and I'll feel safer if I ever get stuck in the rain with them

Getav8 Mar 14, 2010 08:49 PM

They look real nice, I am curious alos how wide or they? I know the bfg's are about 12".

bayer-z28 Mar 14, 2010 09:36 PM

SOFB.. I JUST bought a set and NOW I find that they have R's... :bang: Would have been nice to get the more drag friendly version, but if they don't make them in 18's, I'll feel better. I still need a set of something for my stockers for the track, or I can TRY and hook on these 35 sidewall deals. Gettin mine back from the shop tomorrow from mounting. I'll try some street driving to see how they are, but it still is cold here. Supposed to be 57 this week, tho.. :)

As for the width, my 285's are right at 11" wide.

^I had 275 NT05s on my old TA. and I loved them, you won't be disappointed, but for your power the R's definitely had the best deal for you

99TransAm666 Mar 15, 2010 08:18 AM

I orderd them thru an ebay store for 360 with free shipping. And yes the BFG's were bigger. But didnt hook as good as the nt05r's. I dont know how they do in the rain though.

Detoxx03 Mar 15, 2010 08:40 AM

Nice looking tire but they do look a little narrow. I'd like to see them mounted and a vid of how they hook.

I want to see some 1/4 mile times. Sales are picking up on these but I have yet to see some track reviews.... Anyone hit the track yet?

DopdBrd Mar 16, 2010 04:48 PM

There was a really good Review on them in the latest MM&FF (Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords). They went from the 275/40 NT555R to a 315/35 NT05R and dropped something like .4 in the 60 foot IIRC

havent read the article yet but have heard about it, and a local guy ordered a set. what size wheel were you running?

Juicy J Mar 17, 2010 10:04 AM

Someone needs to write a review. I am interested in seeing how these perform. They do look awfully narrow, but I would like to see some pictures of these on a car.
