Default Wheels stick past fender.

So, I have a set of TT2s I bought off a friend a while ago, and the rears stick out past the fender about 1/4 of an inch, it is very noticeable. Makes the car look like a mexican low rider truck or something.

Is there anything I can do? Grind something etc? Or should I order some new rears with the correct offset?

Thanks for any input.

Depending on the thickness of the mounting surface you could take it to a machine shop and have the mounting pads milled. That will draw the wheel in closer to the axle.

What backspacing do the wheels have? Can you tell me the part number? Are they 17x11? Or 17x9.5? Chances are, that you can get away with running a slightly narrower tire...
