Chrome the TTII's??
 

Was thinking about having my TTII's sent out to get chromed. Anyone done this or think it would look good?? Or just keep the polished look??

I don't think you can because it is a 2 piece wheel and the chrome will start chipping at the seam where they are welded together. They can be bought chromed from American Racing but even then the only chrome part is spokes I believe and the hoop is still polished. Its either that or vice versa I can't remember right now.

yeah just the spokes are chromed so that's why I didn't get them. So it needs to be a 1 piece wheel then in order for the chrome to hold up??

I believe so because the chrome will chip at the seam where it is welded. I mean you can attempt to take it apart, chrome, then reweld it together but then the heat will discolor the chrome.

ehh, well I doubt I'll go thru all of that hassle then....doesn't seem worth it if it might chip, then looks like hell

I would love to have chrome TTll's a lot more than polished. Is it possible to just polish the hell out of them if chroming isn't an option?
