Default narrowed MWC Fab 9 with hub centrics...

Hey, I ordered a midwest chassis fabricated 9 inch narrowed 3" on each side. My reasoning is for the deep dish look. One problem though, I currently have 18"x11.5"( I believe, not positive on width) C5 Z06 rims. Would it be unsafe to run hub centric wheel spacers with these rims until I have enough money to buy 19x11 with the correct off set? please link for suggestions on hub centrics.
thanks!

I imagine you'd be alright just getting around but I wouldn't be for beating on it as I'm sure the weak link would be those spacers. If anything is going to break, it'll likely be those before anything else... so my opinion is that you'd probably be alright driving with them, but take it easy. Good luck. Hopefully others will chime in with their thoughts as well.

thanks for the reply edwardzracing, Ya I would definitely take it easy as I drive San Diego freeways, good call. The thing I was most worried about is a 3" spacer being that its pretty thick.

Did you get longer studs with the rear? Im looking to do this also to put factory firehawk wheels when I want to look factory and for car shows. My only issue is with the longer studs it might too long and not clear the spacer..I guess I could get off my *** and go measure them! I dont see an issue as long as your not beating the hell out of like above was said..

Good call I didn't get longer studs. I'll call them and request it. Your post doesn't really make sense when u talk about the longer studs being to short????

I didnt say they were too short, I said they might be too LONG..and not clear the spacer, stick out past, so your wheel couldnt bolt up because they would be hitting the longer studs.

"My only issue is with the longer studs it might too long and not clear the spacer."

Do u mean the studs would be so long that when you put the lug nuts on, the nuts would not clamp the wheel tight because the studs are too long? basically the lugs bottom out before it tightens the wheel on the studs?

I think what he's saying is that after mounting the spacers, the long lugs from the new rear end will still stick out, thus not creating a flush mounting surface for the stock wheels onto the spacers. Keep in mind I am assuming the spacers we are referring to are like these:

With too long of a stud on the new rear end, if the studs come through those holes too far and are beyond the mounting surface of the spacer, the wheel will not sit flush against the spacer. Instead the wheel will hit the long studs from the rear end... am I making any sense? lol. If you didn't go with a longer stud, you'll likely not have to worry about this. Hopefully that explanation helps a bit.
